As Vice President, People and Operations, Shelly leads the Council's people, culture, and operations functions, partnering with leaders across the organization to build an inclusive, high-performing workplace that advances the Council's mission.

Before joining the Council, Shelly held global People leadership roles across the nonprofit and technology sectors at Room to Read, NextRoll, and most recently, Cure Blindness Project. Her expertise spans the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, organizational development, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, total rewards, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Shelly earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Italian from Stanford University before crossing the bay to the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a master's degree in Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Shelly's greatest professional joy comes from helping others grow, whether coaching leaders, serving as a trusted strategic partner, or mentoring the next generation of People professionals.

Outside of work, you'll likely find Shelly hiking in the Marin Headlands, spending quality time with her nephews, or planning her next adventure to Italy.
